And so it came to pass that New Year’s Eve 2012 was to a night of very light, dull programming. New Year’s Eve 2012 – Midnight Fireworks (1st – 1,238,000) the only program to crack one million and the fireworks came after a very lacklustre set of performances from those involved. The New Year’s traditions continued with Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2012 (7th – 704,000) also performing well (beating all movies on offer!). Not even the movies on the digital multi-channels could garner any interest. Still – drink up!

Channel 9 won the night (26.7%), followed by ABC1 (19.7%), Channel 7 (17.4%) & Channel 10 (8.1%).
