Where did all the people go? Thursday night a very unusual ghost town now that MKR is gone. Seven News (1st – 1,133,000) led the charge but head and shoulders above Today Tonight (2nd – 987,000) and all other comers. With Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Football (9th – 665,000) kicking off it causes all sorts of flow on issues: BHG aired Wed night to underwhelming results, but to get the full picture you’d have to include Friday’s results for NSW/Qld; and Home and Away (11th – 645,000) didn’t air in SA/WA and usually rates 950K-1m. Talk about messy. That said, the AFL still won from 7:30pm against all comers. On 7mate (NSW/Qld only), the AFL drew 91,000 viewers. Excess Baggage finished it’s run on GO! with 95,000 for the grand finale episode.
