It was never going to be pretty – Ch10’s Super Sunday vs the Men’s Final of the Australian Open Tennis. In an epic 5 set match that finished at 1:30am local time Ch7 deserved the average peak of 2,415,000 viewers (NOTE: Castle listed as vieweing, though due to the match running for nearly six hours it was not shown). The good news for Ch10 is the new line up of Young Talent Time (12th – 1,078,000), Modern Family (11th – 1,163,000), New Girl (7th – 1,288,000) & Homeland (10th – 1,169,000) still all rated above one million (about the same as last week) despite the competition – though The Project (25th – 412,000) didn’t fare so well. Ch9 will be looking forward to a return to “normal programming” from Monday.
