Channel 9 pull 4 of the top 5 shows for the night again, with The Block (1st – 1,586,000), Hamish & Andy’s Euro Gap Year (2nd – 1,411,000), Nine News (3rd – 1,287,000) & A Current Affair (5th – 1,171,000) all winning their timeslots. The Block offered us the last renovation show and stamped Dale & Sophie’s dominance on the competition, branding them firm favourites to get the best price at auction on Saturday night. Tregan eliminated from MasterChef Australia (7th – 1,044,000) and news that next week 3 will be eliminated from the show should spark more interest in the franchise, which will have only 10 contestants by the end of next week (it’s first Block-free week this season). Stephen Fry’s 100 Greatest Gadgets (17th – 671,000) does pretty good business up against The Footy Shows (12th – 742,000) too
