Ratings – 28/03/12

No more My Kitchen Rules, and ratings normalise instantly. No 1.5 million plus shows so we get to see how things are really performing. Please Marry My Boy (3rd – 1,089,000) finished up with what is about the right figures as it was pretty much being carried by MKR – Border Security (16th – 569,000) barely a third of what the timeslot was getting over the last weeks. The Biggest Loser Australia (7th – 934,000) hitting the tail end and remaining consistent in the mid-900’s with the end of the season in sight. Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation (9th – 820,000) bounced back up now that the MKR vacuum is gone too. The Big Gay Wedding on Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight (19th – 538,000) was brilliant but didn’t reflect in the ratings at all. The first airing of a moved Better Homes and Gardens (15th – 581,000), showing only in MEL/ADL/PER, did OK and but will leave it hanging on Friday nights.

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: ABC News – ABC1
7:30pm: Biggest Loser/Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation – Ch10
8:30pm: Please Marry My Boy – Ch10

I like TV. Have done since I was plonked down in front of Sesame Street & Play School as a kid in the 70's when we only had two channels. Now we have over 14 free to air channels. Keep up, people. You can contact me here or tweet me at: @MolksTVTalk
