It was always going to happen: The Footy Show(s) (1st – 1,108,000) the most popular shows for the night, even if they barely pulled above one million viewers. Overall though it helped draw people to Ch9 for Nine News (2nd – 1,102,000) & A Current Affair (4th – 1,023,000). While Big Brother (8th – 852,000) may have lost to both ABC News (5th – 999,000) and Home and Away (7th – 854,000), when coupled with Big Brother Confidential (9th – 827,000) it took out the 7:30pm slot easily.

Rake (12th – 764,000) performed well considering its competition, as did Jennifer Byrne Presents: JK Rowling (10th – 823,000). The One Direction special on Ch7 The X Factor – One Direction to Superstardom (691,000) didn’t draw much interest overall at all.

Channel 9 won the night (26.9%), followed by Channel 7 (18.8%), ABC1 (13.4%) & Channel 10 (9.6%).
