Primary Channels

With Ch7’s dominance over the first 3 weeks of ratings, it’s no surprise the other channels are working hard to fight back. A strong push by Ch9 offered it a victory for the night – by 0.1%. It doesn’t come tighter. A good spread of programs through the Top10, also. A massive win for Ch7’s News (doubling the figures of Ch9’s News in some markets), and 60 Minutes absolutely winning the battle of the Sunday current affairs programs. Welcome back Biggest Loser: Families, too, with a solid win in the 6:30pm slot (& strongest figures since last Sunday).

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Biggest Loser: Families – Ch10
7:30pm: 60 Minutes – Ch9
8:30pm: Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple – ABC1
9:30pm: The Mentalist – Ch9

As mentioned, a very short win to Ch9 for the night – long overdue competition for Ch7.

Digital Multi-channels

7Two’s The Amazing Race tied for the evening’s win with an ep of GO!’s Big Bang Theory shows just how important programming for the digital multis has become. GO! won the night, but a strong result from 7mate (thanks to a repeat of Quantum of Solace) helped the 7 Network no end overall.

Overall, a win for the 7 Network (again, but 0.1%). Week 10 is going to be an interesting week.
