As is expected State Of Origin Rugby League Qld v NSW 2nd Match (1st – 2,234,000) leads the way, despite all the political posturing. As an outcome of the leadership spill a lot of the show coding is locked in, so technically Nine smashed the night when you include The Block Sky High (3rd – 1,504,000) and the Origin pre-match (both were basically all spill coverage). You can write off the entire ABC1 coverage of the night – all of it was political and not as listed, and Home and Away (10th – 1,008,000) and Today Tonight (11th – 993,000) both were replaced for Seven as well. Only Ten stuck with their schedule post-7:30pm
