A massive night for Simon Cowell and Freemantle Media Australia as their two shows rate a collective 2,700,000 viewers – The X Factor Australia Live (1st – 1,522,000) first live show triumphs over Australia’s Got Talent (5th – 1,183,000). Pushing Underbelly: Squizzy (10th – 782,000) isn’t helping it gain any market traction but then even the second last Sunday for MasterChef Australia (12th – 716,000) isn’t seeing any big lift… meaning Ripper Street (18th – 472,000) suffers too with a poor lead in and competition against some of the biggest shows of the week.
