Primary Channels

My Kitchen Rules brought it home again for Channel 7 – performing much better than this time last year (erhaps they may schedule it to challenge MasterChef in 2012?). Ch7’s News wins nationally again, however Ch9 wins in BNE. Biggest Loser: Families strong but not strong enough. Adam Hills In Gordon St Tonight affected by the late finish of both Loser & MKR, so down 200K on last week. Also affected Farmer Wants A Wife, down 200K also from last week. 6PM with George Negus down marginally on Mon/Tue, but likely due to the disaster porn on the other news services. That said, it picked up another 251,000 at 10:30pm, giving it a total of 619,000 – which effectively puts it at 18th. There’s life in the old dog yet.

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: My Kitchen Rules – Ch7
8:30pm: MKR/Criminal Minds – Ch7
9:30pm: RPA Where Are They Now? – Ch9

Channel 7 head and shoulders above Channel 9 for the day, then Channel 10.

Digital Multi-channels

Eleven is making a strong showing for only it’s 6th week in the market – consistently 2nd or third, usually always with at least 3% of the market or more. Neighbours is a massive part of that success, almost always first. It’s Wednesday night “animation fixation” theme has been very popular, as is evidenced by the ratings for last night. 7Two, on the other hand, has found it’s niche in UK dramas and comedies.

7Two took the night ahead of Eleven, and contributed to a big win for the 7 Network.
