Primary Channels
It is amazing what a change in form for the Australian Cricket Team does for the ratings – a clear victory for the One Day International – Australia v England game. Her Oprah-ness didn’t fare too badly, mind, however the night was clearly that for Nine News, picking up a massive 1.7 million people. The Australian Open Tennis didn’t perform well by comparison, picking up, at best, 650,000 people. Interesting to see Weekend Today pick up a national win over Weekend Sunrise. Consequently a massive win for Channel 9 on both primary and consolidated network shares, and GO! won the night with the highest digital multi-channel share.
Digital Multi-channels
Comedy & movies were the order of the night on the digital multis, and consequently GO! nailed it (6 of the Top10 shows). It’s surprising with so many shows in the Top50 that ABC2 doesn’t garner a better share – but that’s likely because outside the Top10, the numbers dwindle very quickly and so it doesn’t all add up to much.
