More finales, more massive numbers, more money in the network coffers. Reece Mastin’s win on The X Factor Australia drew just shy of 2 million viewers (the final 30 minutes), and the show averaged 1.721 million viewers across the other 90 minutes. With the Top 5 all Ch7, it left little room in the rest of the Top 20 for anyone else. Happy Endings benefitted from the X Factor lead in – the best Ch9 could offer other than news/current affairs was an episode of Big Bang Theory (10th overall – 860,000). Ch10’s highest rater was a repeat of NCIS (14th – 725,000).
