A massive finale for Downton Abbey (Ep1 2nd – 1,527,000; Ep2 3rd – 1,501,000) – delivering the highest ratings for the series this year since launching. The start of finals week on MasterChef Australia (4th – 1,454,000) delivered strongly for Ch10 and sets up a massive remaining three episodes. Comparatively, Sunday Night (6th – 1,345,000) beat out 60 Minutes (7th – 1,271,000), and the addition of Once Upon A Time (9th – 913,000) did OK business for Ch7 but not great. Seven shows delivered ratings of more than one million – three above 1.5 million. Last Man Standing (17th – 509,000) proving it’s no replacement for New Girl/.
