The 6pm News battle continues – Ch9 head and shoulders above in SYD & MEL, but lagging sorely behind Ch7 in BNE, ADL & PER, which allows Seven News (1st – 1,192,000) to take the nightly win. MasterChef The Professionals (4th – 1,020,000) again wins its timeslot and is the highest rating program after 7pm offering more hope to Ch10 as the ratings year looms. Of course Seven’s Tennis: 2013 Aust Open – Night 9 (5th – 971,000) continues to deliver strong ratings through the night for the network as the fixture tapers toward the finals.
