A big night for television and a big win to Channel 9 for the end of Celebrity Apprentice Australia. The finale won the 7:30 timeslot up against the final performances of The X Factor Australia (not unreasonably – some of those performances were appalling). It was all one way traffic for Channel 7 & Channel 9, bumping Channel 10 & ABC1 out of the way in the process. The semi-final of Junior MasterChef could only muster 675,000 viewers, though Wednesday will be it’s swansong. The much promoted interview with Matthew Newton on A Current Affair did little to improve it’s rating either – up on what it usually draws (971,000), but still a distant second to Today Tonight.
Even with a lead in of 1.458 million viewers, Kyle & Jackie O’s Night With The Stars dropped nearly all of them (and even with the show running 15 minutes late into the show gifting it ratings) to deliver a measly 560,000. Please don’t let there be any more.
