Primary Channels
The practice to split-encode shows so that the highest rating part has become the norm for the commercial networks, and Channel 9 used it to it’s full advantage last night with the 2011 finale of The Block. No question it’s been a runaway ratings hit for the network, though the ending left many fans flat with only one property actually selling at auction. Following from that with the launch of the now highest rating drama for 2011 in Underbelly Razor, and you can see why Ch9 had not only the highest rating night of the year, but highest rating since the MasterChef Australia finale in 2010!
