There was never a doubt that The X Factor Australia (Final 2nd – 1,881,000; Winner 1st – 1,921,000) wasn’t going to take the night by a mile, though surprising it didn’t pop over two million viewers. The launch of Grimm (8th – 937,000) benefits from the sizeable lead in, and while it lost half the audience given it as a modern-day fantasy drama it performed solidly ahead of it’s reschedule for next week. A casualty for the night was Croker Island Exodus (21st – 538,000) – more quality drama gone begging against popular reality TV.
