A massive night for The Block (1st – 1,511,000) with everyone seemingly tuning in to find out what happened with Dani. Controversy plus. MasterChef Australia (5th – 1,125,000) again delivered well but somewhat lost in the noise again. Perhaps reality fatigue has kicked in for Australia’s Got Talent (11th – 881,000) with nowhere near the same number of people watching it this year, while a move to Monday 7:30pm for The Amazing Race Australia (15th – 695,000) can only be a good thing for audiences. On the digital multichannels Dumb, Drunk and Racist came in 3rd overall with 266,000 tuning in – pretty good for ABC2 night figures – though many are questioning why it was not on ABC1 in the first place.
