Build it, promote it, promote it some more, and they will come – Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War – Part 1 (1st – 2,097,000) draws a lot of viewers. With good reason considering it was so good. It helped Ch9 to a massive nightly win, though Ch7 managed to get a dig of their own in with Seven News (2nd – 1,513,000) winning at 6pm. Big Brother (5th – 1,365,000) wins its timeslot and is back above the important one million mark; 60 Minutes (3rd – 1,512,000) wins its timeslot as well and the battle of the Sunday current affairs programs too. Also the Sunday 6pm daily version of Big Brother on GO! drops into first place with 233,000 viewers. Not too bad considering the competition.

MasterChef All Stars (Winner: 7th – 1,050,000; Finale: 11th – 802,000) performs admirably against the Ch9 noise, as does Kath & Kim: The Souvenir Editions (8th – 909,000). What isn’t great news for Ch10 is the revamped Everybody Dance Now (21st – 385,000) rating well below their expectations – again. How long will it last this time is anybody’s guess.
