Friday night is “let’s go out night”, and not only does the programming reflect that but so do the figures. Only one show above 1 million viewers (Better Homes and Gardens) and without question it was Channel 7’s night. Other than the aforementioned BHG, Home and Away, Midsomer Murders and Celebrity Apprentice Australia it was all News/Current Affairs. Even Neighbours barely managed to crack 270,000. On Subscription TV the evening coverage of the Cricket – SA vs AUS helped it to top 222,000. Summers here alright.

Channel 7 won the night (24.2%), followed by Channel 9 (15.5%), ABC1 (14.9%) & Channel 10 (8.8%).
