The Voice Australia (1st – 2,244,000) was never going to lose, no matter how you look at it. Adding in The Block (2nd – 1,889,000) adds some insult to the injury of the Dancing With The Stars (5th – 1,234,000) finale rating well but not scoring a blip by comparison. The big night for Ch9 even meant a Sunday night win for Nine News (3rd – 1,536,000). MasterChef Australia (6th – 973,000) was the big loser for the night (even though it was a great episode), but that marathon is just warming up.
