All the furore around the House of Hancock (2nd – 1,380,000) finale meant it managed to pull far better ratings that it would have otherwise but still lost out to My Kitchen Rules (1st – 1,514,000). 60 Minutes (5th – 1,021,000) also decent for Nine however The Block Triple Threat (6th – 982,000) not cracking one million will be a concern. Seven’s “histori-drama” Australia: The Story of Us (8th – 876,000) was lucky to premiere with the numbers it did. I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (Show: 13th – 627,000; Eviction: 9th – 736,000) ran long, helping Shark Tank (11th – 688,000) to a week 2 BOOST in numbers (a first for Ten in years). Broadchurch (10th – 726,000) and Fortitude (14th – 507,000) premiered reasonably for the ABC given their timeslots and competition – a shame given they were the premium dramas of the night.
