The post-Olympic comedown doesn’t hurt Ch9 one bit (it would seem all that promotion paid off). Underbelly Badness (1st – 1,780,000) and the return of Big Brother (2nd – 1,618,000) both lead the pack with a massive viewership. Also London Live: Closing Ceremony (6am: 9th – 1,000,000; 9:30pm rpt: 12th – 864,000) cleans up as the Olympic period closes out for 2012. Everybody Dance Now (29th – 304,000) halves its audience and looks to suffer… with plenty more episodes to come. Ouch.

I’ve got lots of people telling me they’re turning off EDN because of the US imports, the sub-standard performances and the number of circus acts getting through at the expense of dancing talent. The only people I know still watching are those who are still waiting to see friends, students and others perform.
