Primary Channels

Just add Heston Blumenthal, and like the career of the chef himself, a TV show will rise. MasterChef Australia averaged 1.909 million people watching it across the 90 minutes it was on. Sweet merciful crap. It was compelling too, with a great elimination result. But who at home is going to mince their own beef. THREE TIMES?!

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: MasterChef Australia – Ch10
8:30pm: MasterChef Australia/Offspring – Ch10
9:30pm: Brothers and Sisters (final) – Ch7

Channel 7 won the night, but only just ahead of a very strong Channel 10.

Digital Multi-channels

An even bigger result than before for Neighbours brings it to the top of the heap well and truly – and the highest every ratings for a digital multi-channel show (455,000). If you add it into the primary channel results, that means the show rated 28th for the night – but not really making a dent in any of the night time results (not even it’s replacement 6:30 with George Negus). Despite this good result, 7Two won the night (admittedly ahead of Eleven), and the 7 Network won on consolidated figures.
