Primary Channels
It seems all the older demos stay in on Saturday night to get their fix of Doc Martin & ABC News – the only two shows to crack 1 million viewers for the night. The highest rating commercial non-news show for the night was a repeat of Home Alone 2 on Channel 10 at 9th. It would seem all the repeat films being offered everyone has already seem – including what is offered on the digital multi-channels (usually a refuge on the weekends for decent re-run movies, just not tonight). Channel 7 may have missed the mark trying to run Coraline in a “kids” movie timeslot… just because it’s animated doesn’t make it suitable.
Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Gardening Australia/ABC News – ABC1
7:30pm: Doc Martin – ABC1
8:30pm: Agatha Christie’s Poirot – ABC1
9:30pm: Poirot/The Graham Norton Show – ABC1
ABC1 won the night (21.2%), followed by Channel 7 (15.4%), with Channel 9 (13.9%) & Channel 10 (13.9%) in a tie for a distant third place.
