6:30 with George Negus continues to solidify, with good reason – it’s a quality product. Home and Away are back up in the ratings in a very spurious manner. By running at least 5 minutes overtime, they bleed into the My Kitchen Rules timeslot and score a very distinct advantage in eyes that turned over to watch MKR being subjected to H&A and artificially inflating their ratings for this very average 7pm soapie. In other news, MKR killed and even though slightly down again on last week Winners and Losers still delivering strong numbers for Ch7. Although the same effect could be attributed as MKR ran excessively late last night. A spectacular episode of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation got almost lost in the noise for Channel 10… though Channel 9 didn’t really offer anything (even the Vietnam Top Gear special tanked).

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: My Kitchen Rules – Ch7
8:30pm: Winners and Losers – Ch7
9:30pm: Parenthood – Ch7

Channel 7 won the night on 26.6%, Ch10 second with 19.5%, Ch9 third with 15.6%.

Neighbours back up in the mid 300’s to lead the night, closely followed by a double episode of Survivor: Redemption Island. The latter helping GO! to the nightly win (and lifting the 9 Network’s performance), but the 7 Network took out the night overall.
