The move of My Kitchen Rules (1st – 1,451,000) to Sunday night, while entirely a ratings success, has meant the viewing pool was diluted across the board with the Ch7 juggernaut down nearly 400,000 viewers on other nights by comparison (no way the network will complain). Sunday night was pretty good for Channel 9, with the launch of the Karl Stefanovic re-voiced doco Great Barrier Reef (4th – 1,170,000), the return of Ch9 current affairs stalwart 60 Minutes (5th – 1,139,000) and the one off telemovie The Great Mint Swindle (8th – 1,073,000) all performing well. The biggest hit was taken by Channel Ten’s Super Sunday: The Project (24th – 365,000), Young Talent Time (16th – 610,000), Modern Family (9th – 872,000), New Girl (13th – 783,000) and Homeland (ep1 10th – 810,000; ep2 14th – 705,000) all falling below one million viewers for the first time this year. In the weekend brekky show battle Weekend Sunrise – Sun (23rd – 400,000) and its Kony special thumped Weekend Today – Sunday (25th – 296,000). That Adam Boland seems to know what he’s doing.
