A big night for reality TV. The Block: Fans v Faves (Grand Final: 3rd – 1,884,000; Auctions: 2nd – 2,156,000; Winner Announced: 1st – 2,181,000) does big business while My Kitchen Rules (4th – 1,645,000) also fares well. Ten the big loser (as expected). Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (19th – 632,000) performs well up against the reality juggernauts, though Spicks and Specks (28th – 365,000) and The Agony of Modern Manners (25th – 395,000) doesn’t fare so well. Puberty Blues (26th – 384,000) Ten’s primetime best (Ten’s primary channel share now regularly dangerously low). The launch of Mom (E01: 10th – 1,107,000; E02: 15th – 838,000) lost half its lead in and continued to slide… mainly because it’s derivative rubbish. Fan excuse bingo will commence on Mom when it returns after Easter and the ratings fall in the toilet.
