Primary Channels

A slightly more relaxed battle for Wednesday, yet it still saw the return and launch of a whole new raft of shows. Adam Hills In Gordon St Tonight delivered very strong 1st night ratings for ABC1, and will be a pleasant return next week – as will Laid be. It was, however, all Channel 7 last night with strong numbers for My Kitchen Rules taking number 1 spot nationally, it’s 6pm News 2nd & Criminal Minds 3rd (although in SYD & BNE Channel 9’s 6pm bulletin beat Channel 7’s). What backlash? 5 shows at 1m+, only one was Ch9. Ch10’s highest rating program for the night was Biggest Loser:Families, sneaking in at 7th & just under 1m.

Timeslot winners (nationally):
6:00pm: Seven News – Ch7
6:30pm: Today Tonight – Ch7
7:00pm: Home and Away – Ch7
7:30pm: My Kitchen Rules – Ch7
8:30pm: Criminal Minds – Ch7
9:30pm: RPA Where Are They Now? – Ch9

Channel 7’s win in primary networks and consolidated channels.

Digital Multi-channels

Neighbours again number 1 nationally on the digital multi-channels (and if you consolidate the figures, it was 34th overall, beating shows The Today Show, Oprah & Big Love. This and the “animation fixation” theme night lead Eleven to a definitive second behind 7Two, which itself was having it’s regular “it’s pitched so old you have to be legally dead to watch it” night. V was GO!’s highest rating show, and The Zoo peaked up for GEM, with a replay of Tuesday night’s Ben Elton: Live From Planet Earth at 9:30pm settling things down a little.

Again the performance by 7Two (first for the night) and 7mate (3rd) helped Channel 7 to a definitive night win overall.
