The AFL a big drawcard again, and it runs off the back of a strong Seven News (1st – 1,185,000) to help Ch7 win the night convincingly – Seven’s AFL: Saturday Night Football Finals (2nd – 931,000). Even Seven’s AFL: Saturday Afternoon Football Finals (4th – 749,000) deliver strongly. Conversely the two NRL games perform well in Qld/NSW – Rugby League Final Series QF2 (6th – 718,000) & Rugby League Final Series EF1 (7th – 672,000). Doctor Who (8th – 549,000) screens after being on ABC’s iview for a week and while the launch was a little softer than past years it was still respectable.
