Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year Asia (1st – 1,566,000) was always going to win its timeslot and likely the night; it was just going to be by how much. Along with The Block Sky High (2nd – 1,485,000) it made for a very big night for Nine and a pretty slow night for Ten – MasterChef Australia (19th – 737,000) their only show in the Top 20 and Wanted (??? – 632,000) premieres down on what they would have hoped (independent on it drawing 57% more viewers to the timeslot than previous shows). In the public affairs race A Current Affair (5th – 1,230,000) now regularly beating Today Tonight (6th – 1,164,000) though it continues to be tight at 6:30pm. Faith is restored in the Australian TV viewing public as, thankfully, few chose to watch Two Broke Girls.
