Another quiet night on the hustings – though the Ch7/Ch9 News war seems to be maintaining momentum even into the off-ratings season. Ch10’s The Project (14th; 654,000) deserved much better for having Robin Williams on the desk for half the show – he gave great panel – but that was one of only two Top 20 shows for the network. Sherlock (16th; 526,000) did OK for Ch9, but couldn’t beat Criminal Minds (13th; 661,000) for the 8:30pm slot (though it did win the 9:30pm slot). Wednesday used to be a big deal for the ratings. Not for a while now, I guess.

8:30pm: Criminal Minds – Ch7
9:30pm: Sherlock (2nd hour) – Ch9
Channel 7 won the night (19.9%), followed by Channel 9 (18.2%), Channel 10 (11.2%) & ABC1 (11.1%).
