A quiet night in, except for those interested in programs on ABC1. Doc Martin won over all, with 1.382 million viewres tuning in. You old people need to get out more. Given pretty much everything else was movies, they fared reasonably but nothing outrageous. The highest rating movie was E.T. – the extra-terrestrial with 605,000 viewers – 8th overall. Ch9’s highest non-news program, Australia’s Funniest Home Videos, placed 9th with 592,000. Ch10 barely scraped in to the Top 20, with their highest being the movie The Seeker: Dark is Rising landing in 18th with a paltry 274,000.

ABC1 won the night (21.2%), followed by Channel 7 (18.7%), Channel 9 (16.3%) & Channel 10 (8.3%).
