While the final bootcamp and ‘surprise’ announcement that the judges were manufacturing a boy band AND a girl band played on, it wouldn’t have mattered as The X Factor Australia (1st – 1,542,000) has ensured it will be Ch7’s ratings hit to end the year on. ABC News (4th – 1,120,000) slides in ahead of Big Brother (6th – 1,027,000) at 7pm, with the latter importantly tipping over one million again.

Gruen Planet (10th – 917,000) remains strong for ABC1 at 8:30pm but Puberty Blues (14th – 728,000) continues to soften, though it rates strongly in the key demographics targeted by Ch10 (number 1 show 16-39; number 3 show 18-49). Dallas (44th – 207,000) vanishes in both the ratings and the schedule with an episode of Embarrassing Bodies (16th – 651,000) bumping it back to 10pm and inevitable removal from the primary network schedule.
