The final Doc Martin for the year was always going to be a ratings success for ABC1, as the series has been this year – 1,296,000 watched, making it the number one program for the night. The First Cricket Test – AUS v NZ featured strongly for Channel 9 during the day, however they couldn’t translate too much into the evening. No commercial network could by comparison, however Ch7 & Ch9 came closest (though the movie choices for Saturday night left a lot to be desired).

ABC1 won the night (19.9%), followed by Channel 7 (17.5%), Channel 9 (17.1%) & Channel 10 (10.5%).
