Four nights in a row, four wins to My Kitchen Rules (1st – 1,439,000) in the first week of its season. Not unprecedented, but certainly impressive. The comparative reality schedule hasn’t fared so well with The Biggest Loser Australia (9th – 734,000) improving slightly/remaining stable and Excess Baggage (15th – 555,000) bottoming out for the week… Home and Away (7th – 934,000) still won 7pm, though down a little on the usual plus one million it brings in. The 8:30pm battle was interesting too, with a new CSI (8th – 764,000) beating new Desperate Housewives (12th – 620,000) and the two hour premiere of The Straits (13th – 599,000). Not as many people watching at 8:30pm as there normally is, though. The Project (19th – 527,000) continues to plug away at 6pm and is slowly building an audience (it’s a good product).
