Hel-lo December. It’s now that you realise that the ratings year is done and dusted. Like it was pointed out yesterday, the “One above 1 million; 4 above 800K” trend continues though today there is only 3 above 800K. The highest rating non-news program was Recruits: Paramedics (5th; 734,000) but it didn’t win the 7:30pm slot as it’s partner Keeping Up With The Joneses (9th; 681,000) didn’t keep up to average the hour. It was a mostly forgettable night – even the finale of Crownies didn’t rate high enough to make it into the Top 20! As we move into Summer, Thu/Fri/Sat will continue to be a relative wasteland of nothing ratings-wise as people choose to miss some buried treasure being programmed across the networks (including digital multi-channels).

Channel 7 won the night (21%), followed by Channel 9 (19.8%), Channel 10 (13%) & ABC1 (12%).
