Naturally, London Live (Early Evening: 1st – 1,705,000; Evening: 2nd – 1,672,000) lead the night, thanks to Australia’s obsession with sport. MasterChef Australia All Stars (7th – 852,000) lifts a little, and the second episode of Gruen Sweat (9th – 793,000) delivers some of the strongest Wed night ratings the ABC has seen in a while. Ch7’s Downton Abbey Special (14th – 660,000) did OK if not low and the return of RSPCA Animal Rescue (15th – 655,000) offered the same, while sceptics offered this was brought back during the Olympics due to now less that complete audience love of the host Anthony Field due to the Wiggles firing/hiring scandal in late 2011.
