Welcome to Week 44 – only 4 weeks of the television year to go. Lots of interesting starts, lots of interesting risks, and lots of vanishing shows… most notably Charlie’s Angels all gone in Australia now that it’s been cancelled in the US, but shows like Unforgettable and Person Of Interest making a go of it. It’s a big start week for a stripped Celebrity Apprentice Australia – who knows how that experiment is gonna turn out (I think it’s gonna be brilliant).

It’s here – 5 nights a week at 7pm, Celebrity Apprentice Australia is a risk for Channel 9, but they are committed to it in their run to the end of the year. There’s been much concern over the “celebrity” roster, but I think that’s what’s gonna make it. So much fun.

The new series from Paul Fenech kicks off this Monday on SBS one – Housos. Irreverant, pollitically incorrect bogan humour at its finest. Check it out, stooges!

The final week of 6:30 with George Negus is upon us. It’s a sad end (especially given there’s 4 weeks left of the TV ratings year, so they could have let the show see it out), however all the staff are being retained by Channel 10. For now. George will slide back into a newly renovated 7pm show now stretching to an hour and renamed The Project. Hooray for inventiveness.
