We’re nearly there, people – it’s the SECOND LAST WEEK OF RATINGS FOR 2012! (But what does it meeeeeeeean?!) With both ABC1, Channel 7 and Channel 10 announcing they’re offering some decent first run programming over the summer break it starts to suggest the networks are realising that there’s eyes keen to watch and viewing attitudes to be influenced (isn’t there, Ch10?).

Ch7 drop both the series premiere of Grimm on Tuesday and then the season two launch of Once Upon A Time on Thursday, both set to run across the summer non-ratings period. This is a bold move from Seven as OUAT was a success for the network and to run the subsequent series across summer means they either want viewers to hang around or their 2013 schedule is chockas for the start of the year (which it is).
