TV Guide for week ending 16/02/13

It has begun – the 2013 ratings season starts today. Not that you’d notice given the chaos of the last two weeks with over 50 shows new or returning in that period. Cray cray.

ABC offers some interesting series this week – Kevin McCloud’s Man Made Home shows the Grand Designs chief going through the trauma of building his own home, while four couples look to repair their relationships on Making Couples Happy (happy Valentine’s day!). Tuesday night proffers the return of Good Game for it’s NINTH season and all is well with the gaming world.

Downton Abbey pops back up for season three and it’s sure to big another ratings winner for Seven.

After so many seasons shunning and ruining it for fans, Nine finally comes to its senses and offers up the latest season of Survivor: Caramoan – fans v favourites fast-tracked on GO! The same day it airs in the US. THANK YOU, SURVIVOR GODS. OUR SACRIFICES HAVE BEEN HEARD!!!

Ten have left their run a little late, but for other shows they’ve already run things early. Too hard to work out. But what they’re offering is pretty good – the return of Can Of Worms for its third season; the start of the new David Attenborough documentary series Africa (followed by Bondi Vet); and the new series The Living Room. Over on Eleven they start the final season of The Office US. Ahh, eases the pain.
