Week 14 and what have we learned this ratings year so far? Channel 9 isn’t the home of laughter yet – at least not laughter as a result of what it’s offering, as opposed to laughter at what it’s offering. Channel 10 has patience, but not as much as it used to, with the last week of 6PM with George Negus and Ten Evening News ahead of us before the latest “tightening” changes. Channel 7 can’t seem to put a foot wrong when it comes to drama or reality, but then it’s not really being offered a lot of serious competition. The ABC will continue to suprise us with what it offers, we just wish it did it more consistently.

Then again, 8 weeks in television is a long time, and TV programmers are showing very little patience with anything or anyone at the moment…

We finally get to see the other episodes of A Quiet Word With… recorded by Tony Martin, starting Saturday night. Another gem that Aunty seems to not know where to home.

While The Cape has been soundly panned by critics in the US, it’s supposed to be pretty good as long as you don’t demand a lot of it. It premieres Friday night on 7mate, but only in the capital cities, with all the regions getting the AFL game from Friday night at a reasonable time instead. Highly stupid, but it is what it is.

If you’re a Big Love fan, the season finale this week is pretty good.
