Movie nerds unite! A series made for you, for all of us, and it’ll be a lot of fun to boot. From the press release:

THE BAZURA PROJECT…the name says it all.
ABC2 presents THE BAZURA PROJECT a new six-part comedy/entertainment series about Australia’s number one, non-sports-related pastime – the movies – which will premiere on Thursday September 29 at 9pm.

THE BAZURA PROJECT will get down and dirty with the movies, to look at how the likes of violence, sex, money, profanity, drugs and fame are shown on the big screen. Presenters Shannon Marinko and Lee Zachariah will delight, disgust, probe. The series also stars Kat Stewart as the Entertainment Reporter, David Stratton as Lee’s Therapist, and Shaun Micallef as the ‘Robot’. Plus there are appearances by John Safran, Tony Martin, Julia Zemiro, Bryan Dawe, Stephanie Bendixsen, Francis Greenslade and Michael Ward.

Lee Zachariah says, “We could not be happier with the lapse in judgment that caused the ABC to green-light our show. The ABC is one of those great cultural institutions. We apologise in advance for ruining its reputation.” “Having our show screen on ABC2 is very special to me, as I grew up watching ABC2, says Shannon Marinko. “I think I did, anyway. I have a very bad memory for anything pre-2005.”

ABC Head of Arts and Entertainment Amanda Duthie says: “We hope people enjoy this title sequence, as Lee and Shannon have spent all the time they should have been working on the episodes filming that instead.”

Join Shannon and Lee as they unearth the obscure, travel to the future, delve into their subconscious, award the un-awardable, and give a comprehensive DIY guide on all things sinful in cinema.
