I’d like to think we can blame the Olympics for being tardy in podcast land, but that’d just be wrong. So this week it’s just me all on my lonesome to discuss the goings on in Australian TV over the last fortnight.
There’s been a lot too, what with the shock cancellation of THE CIRCLE and the shock survival and retooling of Ch10’s BREAKFAST; the love/hate/love/hate for Ch9’s coverage of the 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS; and I zap through the 60 second news discussing the coming PAPER GIANTS 2, WINNERS AND LOSERS getting a third season in 2013; and the battle of the apps – the newly released JUMP-IN from Ch9 and the spectacular LONDON 2012 app from Foxtel.
I even found time to update you on what’s happening “After the Olympics” for all the free to air networks, including my impressions on the new/returning series of things like PUBERTY BLUES, UNDERBELLY:BADNESS, CAN OF WORMS season 2, EVERYBODY DANCE NOW, THE X FACTOR AUSTRALIA, DALLAS, HOUSE OF LIES, REEF DOCTORS, LOWDON season 2, HOWZAT! KERRY PACKER’S WAR, SMASH, and the return of BIG BROTHER.
