ROCK!

The year is drawing to a close. The 2011 ratings season ends next week, and with that comes the news of all the big things shows are doing to capture our attention. The Block are having their big auction. X Factor will be announcing their winner. Funniest Home Videos is being co-hosted by Jack Black. Yes, JACK BLACK!

Star of Kung-Fu Panda, School of Rock, one half of rock legends Tenacious D, Jack Black will be joining host Shelly Craft in the studio to wrap the year, and announce the grand prize winners of this year’s Australian content voted for by the viewers. It doesn’t hurt he’s in town to promote his new family-friendly film, either. Part of me hopes there’ll be the typical Black insanity, however I’d expect it will all be very G-rated. From the press release:

Rounding out a year of celebrity guest appearances that included Justin Bieber and Usher, Jack, the star of Kung Fu Panda and the upcoming Gulliver’s Travels, will join Shelley in front of a live audience and share some of his favourite funniest home videos.

After 42 weeks and more than 300 video submissions, Shelley will reveal the winner of this year’s funniest home video award from six grand finalists, with the winner scoring $250,000 in cash thanks to Pizza Hut.

Join Shelley Craft, Jack Black and a host of impromptu amateur video stars as Australia’s Funniest Home Videos celebrates another crazy year of mayhem, embarrassing moments, clumsy kids and potty pets with a super grand finale for 2010.
