Dancing with the Stars, 10 years on, proves that we’re almost plum out of stars. At least Dan MacPherson and Edwina Bartholomew will deliver an interesting show no matter who the “stars” are. From the press release:

All-star cast ready to rumba

Channel Seven today unveiled the celebrity line-up for Series 14 of the iconic TV dance competition.

DANCING WITH THE STARS is set to dazzle in 2014 with a glittering cast of celebrities including an international supermodel, a global chart topper, an NRL legend, an AFL star, two Olympians, a 1970s pop idol and two Summer Bay favourites.

The 12 stars who will be vying for this year’s coveted mirror-ball trophy are:

RICKI-LEE – Singer/Songwriter, dancing with Jarryd Bryne
ASHLEY HART – Supermodel, partnered with Julz Tocker making his DWTS debut
TORAH BRIGHT – Olympic snowboarding champion, dancing with newcomer, Robbie Kmetoni
KYLY CLARKE – Presenter/Model, partnered by Damian Whitewood
APRIL ROSE PENGILLY – Actress, dancing with Aric Yegudkin
LYNNE McGRANGER – Home and Away actress, partnered by Carmelo Pizzino

EAMON SULLIVAN – Olympic swimmer, dancing with Ash-Leigh Hunter
PAULY FENECH – Actor/Comedian teaming up with Alana Patience
MATT COOPER – NRL Legend, dancing with Masha Belash
DAVID RODAN – AFL Star, partnered by Melanie Hooper
TAI HARA – Actor from Home and Away, paired with DWTS newcomer Jorja Freeman
MARK HOLDEN – 1970s Pop Idol, to dance with Jessica Prince

Daniel MacPherson returns to host for his seventh season. By his side will be Edwina Bartholomew.

The judging panel will comprise celebrated dancers Kym Johnson and Adam Garcia alongside DWTS seasoned professionals Todd McKenney and Helen Richey who are starring in their 14th series this year.

Seven’s Director of Production, Brad Lyons, said: “It’s an extraordinary cast this season. We love having Dancing in the prime time schedule. It’s a show the whole family can look forward to.”
