The numbers have been crunched, and the 2011 Molkies are ready to go. All the nominations are collated, and only the entries with the most nominations have made it to the shortlist. It’ll likley be controversial, but it’s all in good fun. The biggest and best new television awards in Australia are here… and it’s time for you to cast your vote.

Voting is open until 9 April 2011, and you can only enter once. However, all entries are open to the weekly PRIZES available for all voters. Yes – prizes. Each week everyone who has voted will be in the draw to win: signed books (from Caroline Overington, Derryn Hinch & more), TV merch packs, tickets to comedy shows & the NRL, and even a PVR! We’ve also been very generously donated statuettes for the Gold & Brown Molkies. Prizes will be announced via Twitter and the weekly update post, so keep your eyes peeled. There’s great prizes being given away each week!

Consequently, there are a couple of special mentions for sponsors:
ICE TV have very generously offered 5 x $99 yearly subscriptions to their Electronic Program Guide (EPG). With Ice TV, you can configure your PVR or Media Centre to get all the latest guide updates as well as arrange to record a show or series via the Web or your iPhone or Android device. It is without question the best EPG available on the market. Thanks Ice TV!

MYFACE FIGURINES are crafting Gold & Brown Molkies to present to their respective winners at the still-to-be-confirmed Molkies Awards ceremony. The craftsmanship involved in a MyFace Figurine is completely incredible, so I’m looking forward to what Trent & his team come up with. Thanks MyFace!

Massive thanks need to also go to Scott Hampson (@Agent_X)- illustrator and comic artist, responsible for not only the MolksTVTalk logo, but also the Molkies statuettes themselves! In his other, other day job he writes a pretty awesome series of one panel comics – check him out!

So now it’s up to you. Offer up your votes and see democracy done for Australian television in a way it’s never been done before. You have the power, you have the chance to say what’s crap and what’s awesome. It’s time to cast your vote…
