It's Voice night, so you know what that means (apart from a massive time overrun): The Voice Australia (1st - 2,239,000). The Block (2nd - 1,440,000) continued it's winning ways, importantly for Ch9 up against MasterChef Australia (9th - 996,000), and kicking it to the curb decisively. Revenge (5th - 1,252,000) did well but well overshadowed by The Voice (as was everything else, particularly on Ch10). Timeslot winners (nationally): 6:00pm: Seven News - Ch7 6:30pm: Today Tonight - Ch7 7:00pm: The Block - Ch9 7:30pm: The Voice Australia - Ch9 8:30pm: The Voice Australia - Ch9 9:30pm: Person Of Interest - Ch9 Channel 9 won the night … [Read more...]

Welcome back MasterChef Australia (4th - 1,368,000), but not to the winning ways you're used to. Though it did win it's timeslot and the number suggesting fans are cautiously optimistic to see it return as a Shine Australia production, The Block (3rd - 1,476,000) beat it convincingly. The real match up will start on Monday as the two shows go head to head at 7pm. That'll get messy! Dancing With The Stars (6th - 1,110,000) still above one million viewers but off the pace in the Sunday night reality competition, and the penultimate episode of The Biggest Loser Australia (8th - 936,00) barely gets a look in. Touch (12th - 703,000) struggling … [Read more...]

Another big Saturday night for ABC1, with Gardening Australia (8th - 660,000), ABC News (4th - 967,000), New Tricks (2nd - 1,181,000) & Whitechapel (7th - 680,000) all winning their timeslots (New Tricks nearly up-ending Seven News as the most watched program of the night!). Five Days (10th - 497,000) almost beat Seven's AFL: Saturday Night Football (9th -540,000) which would have resulted in a clean sweep for Aunty beyond 6pm. Timeslot winners (nationally): 6:00pm: Seven News - Ch7 6:30pm: Gardening Australia/ABC News - ABC1 7:30pm: New Tricks - ABC1 8:30pm: Whitechapel - ABC1 9:30pm: Seven's AFL: Saturday Night Football - … [Read more...]

Seven News (1st - 1,121,000) aside, The Block (2nd - 1,029,000) and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (6th - 877,000) continued their timeslot-winning ways. The two sporting fixtures for the night - Nine's Live Friday Night Football (9th - 687,000) & Seven's AFL: Friday Night Football (663,000) - fared reasonably(even though neither were on the primary networks in all markets and the NRL wasn't live on Ch9); not so the two hour finale of Young Talent Time (20th - 420,000) which was up slightly on previous weeks however still rating poorly. Timeslot winners (nationally): 6:00pm: Seven News - Ch7 6:30pm: Today Tonight - Ch7 7:00pm: The Block … [Read more...]

Some great sizzle for Celebrity Apprentice Australia (Challenge 9th - 810,000; Boardroom - 7th - 907,000) saw it deliver great numbers and win its timeslot for the night. The Block (2nd - 1,151,000) continues it's dominance which may soon end given MasterChef approacheth. A big battle coming for 7pm. Home and Away (6th - 928,000) was Ch7's highest non-News programming and it falls away from there. Ch10 really struggling on Thursdays with Glee (18th - 593,000) still not making a dent. An audience scorned. Over on the digital multi-channels, Neighbours manages to crack 300,000 viewers for the first time in WEEKS and takes the nightly win … [Read more...]

With a free hit, Revenge (1st - 1,330,000) steps in for the nightly win, followed closely by Australia's Got Talent (3rd - 1,301,000) - both with respectable figures and helping Ch7 to the win for the evening. The Block (5th - 1,136,000) continues to win at 7pm (reasonably), though Celebrity Apprentice Australia (Challenge 11th - 841,000; Boardroom 12th - 815,000) isn't delivering as well as Ch9 would have hoped. Still, above 800K is passable. The new line up for ABC1 did OK - Randling (10th - 859,000); Laid (27th - 424,000); Agony Aunts (25th - 454,000) - while Offspring (17th - 629,000) was basically lost in the noise for Ch10. Timeslot … [Read more...]

The Voice Australia (1st - 2,259,000) comes through for another night for Ch9, though with the program being cut down to only one show a week from now on... WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING?! The Block (3rd - 1,259,000) still strong and leading the way at 7pm. Packed To The Rafters (6th - 1,118,000) a positive at running over one million though, like every other program at the moment, sitting in the shadows of the monolith that is The Voice. The Biggest Loser Australia (12th - 758,000) bubbling along towards the finale next week, though the numbers are not as good as Ch10 would like them this far into the season. Timeslot winners … [Read more...]

A massive Monday night with The Voice Australia (1st - 2,614,000) and The Block (2nd - 1,400,000) leading the charge again. Revenge (5th - 1,262,000) up again but still struggling like everything else against The Voice. Person of Interest (8th - 1,146,000) got a nice little kick along post The Voice, though having the show run later than advertised never hurt either. Pictures Of You (20th - 635,000) delivered respectable figures for running far later in the evening than it should be (and, also, against the Voice). Timeslot winners (nationally): 6:00pm: Seven News - Ch7 6:30pm: Today Tonight - Ch7 7:00pm: The Block - Ch9 7:30pm: The … [Read more...]

The Block (1st - 1,561,000) brings home the night win for Ch9, but no The Voice gave Dancing With The Stars (5th - 1,238,000) a free hit to win the timeslots it occupied. Touch (14th - 651,000) significantly down on the previous week - a real shame, as it's a great series. Modern Family (7th - 976,000) the hight point for Ch10 for the night, though New Girl (10th - 804,000) was down significantly on past weeks. Timeslot winners (nationally): 6:00pm: Seven News - Ch7 6:30pm: The Block - Ch9 7:30pm: Dancing With The Stars (2nd hour) - Ch7 8:30pm: Bones - Ch7 9:30pm: Castle - Ch7 Channel 7 won the night (24.6%), followed by Channel 9 … [Read more...]

Another big night for ABC1, with ABC News (4th - 1,001,000), New Tricks (2nd - 1,145,000) and Whitechapel (8th - 637,000) all winning their timeslots. The Good News Week - The Final Farewell Tour (14th - 410,000) finale rated reasonably for a Saturday night, but nothing outstanding. Timeslot winners (nationally): 6:00pm: Seven News - Ch7 6:30pm: Gardening Australia/ABC News - ABC1 7:30pm: New Tricks - ABC1 8:30pm: Whitechapel - ABC1 9:30pm: Seven's AFL: Saturday Night Football (3rd hour) - Ch7 Channel 7 won the night (19.5%), followed by Channel 9 (18.7%), ABC1 (18%) & Channel 10 (10.6%). … [Read more...]
