The awards presented, the bad jokes told, the tall tales of success have been shared... The 2011 Molkies were a complete success. I'll be posting the photos from the night on the MolksTVTalk Facebook page as soon as I get them (watch for the tweet once they're up), and making sure I grab the uStream of the night, edit it to highlights and posting it on the MolksTVTalk YouTube channel. The 2011 Molkie Awards are just a day away, and to help you prepare for the big day it's time to analyse and be amazed by who made the cut. Oh, it's game ON. The 2011 Molkies will (finally) deliver the much promised glamour and the all-important winners of the search for Australia's true television talent. This Saturday night (7 May), live from Cloudland in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley, the new and old media will meet to enjoy some musical and comedic entertainment and to find out the winners of such categories as: Best promotion/sizzle for a show or network; Best News service; Most notable performance by a journalist; Worst in show (program or series); & Best in show. 2011 Molkies Delayed

The build up to the 2011 Molkies has been massive – over 800 people voted online, offering opinions on the best & worst that Australian television has to offer. It’s generated a buzz that has captured the attention of radio and television media across the country. Sadly due to circumstances beyond my control, the event planned for this Saturday night (16 April 2011) has to be delayed. Please now mark Saturday 7 May 2011 in your diaries as the new date, with further details to be confirmed. It's all very exciting - just delayed a little bit. That's it! Voting done - we have our winners (and as I stated today on 612 ABC Brisbane the results are in a briefcase handcuffed to a guy's arm, and we've sealed him in a safe), with all to be revealed on Saturday night at the glittering media party of the year - the Molkies! The response was amazing. Over 600 people voted and left their details to be eligible for prizes; over 200 more voted but opted out of leaving their details. We're so nearly there it's not funny. Lots of voting has meant some more changes to category leads, and the opening of the latest promotion to promote the Molkies (get involved and you could win tickets to the event proper!). I'm very pleased to announce that the 2011 Molkie Awards have secured a sponsor, which means it's PARTY TIME! The event will be attended by a "who's who" of the Australian TV landscape, and being held at Cloudland in Brisbane (so hot right now) you know you'll have a great time.
