The Brisbane television market reflects the “small country town” that it is – parochial. Sadly these days very little television is made up on Mt Coot-tha or in Brisbane generally (it’s a long way from the days of Brisbane Extra or Now You See It or The Shak adding to the local content catalogue), however the major free to air networks all offer state-based news services with local 6pm bulletins broadcast out of each capital city.
Courtesy Rob McKnight & the Nine News Australia YouTube channel, this video offers a rare insight into what goes into making the news happen every night right here in Brisbane. There’s also lots of other great content within the channel going behind the scenes of lots of Nine work around the country. Enjoy!
We’ve got some news for you – would love you to cover the story and it’s at the base of Mt Coot-tha.
Council want to whack a 2000m2 industrial building on zoned park land opposite the iconic Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. That’s a 30 storey building lying on its side (imagine the Brisbane Marriott sitting there welcoming visitors and tourists alike).
Why? that’s what we want to know. There is no explaining the size or the location – something is fishy and we need journos to flesh it out? You want a story – we’ve got one right on your doorstep.
I’d be your man… if I was a journo. Perhaps hit the teams up that are just a little higher up the mountain?
